Is it a statutory holiday?
Yes. Eligible employees in British Columbia get the day off with pay, or premium pay if they work.
Planning the long weekend
BC Day creates one of the busiest summer long weekends for travel. Ferry reservations, campsites and popular trails book up early, so plan ahead.
